 Pros and cons

Zsight App (Pro)

The Zsight App for remote surveillance is convenient for individuals that are constantly on the go, in addition, the QR code scan provides a simple method for synchronisation. The multiple modes available from the app are also a plus point.

High Resolution (Pro)

The DVR provides a high-resolution 960H display.

No Controls Found on the Front Unit (Con)

Many were not happy with the fact that there are no controls located on the front unit. The only means to manage the DVR is through Internet explorer, which if you are a Mac user, this is a major disadvantage.

Have to Purchase a Hard Drive (Con)

One would also have to purchase and install a hard drive for data storage. One, the additional cost, and two, the problems it may cause for inexperienced users.

 Great Resolution (Pro)

The cameras have great resolution at 700TVL, equivalent to 760p and above the standard of 600TVL and sufficient IR LEDs for night vision imaging.

Weatherproof (Pro)

The weatherproof build capability is a major positive as users will be able to position them outdoors.

 Wire Length (Pro)

The manufacturer has also provided sufficient wire lengths to cover moderately large areas. A quick guide manual is provided, although this re-directs to an online website with generic instructions only. Once again, inexperienced users may be confronted with a difficult time during installation.

 Honest review and opinion

For an inexpensive surveillance system, this product is a good buy, despite having to buy an additional hard drive (that’s something I could personally live with). The DVR is moderate with the standard 960H video display, although the presence of no external controls on the DVR will be a hassle for some users. The Zsight App is great for remote viewing with easy synchronization. Although installation may be difficult for users with little surveillance system experience, the operational capabilities including are the plus point of this product.
